Requirements:
- Working rights in Australia
- Previous experience in Aged Care settings (MANDATORY)
- Certificate in Food Handling (HLTFS207C or HLTFSE001) or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality
- Valid Police Check
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or application ID from Services Vic)
- Flu Vaccination Record (2025)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Record (Fully Vaccinated)
- Excellent communication skills and presentation
- 1 Professional Reference from your most recent workplace
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent care

Duties Include:
Chef (Head or Sous Chef)
- Menu Planning and Oversight: Develop and oversee menus that meet nutritional guidelines, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences of residents.
- Kitchen Supervision: Lead the kitchen team, including cooks and FSAs, to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to food safety standards.
- Inventory and Ordering: Manage stock levels, place food orders, and monitor cost control measures.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all meals comply with aged care regulations, food safety protocols, and internal quality standards.
- Staff Training: Provide guidance and training to cooks and FSAs, ensuring high performance and safe work practices.
Cook (Trade Cook)
- Meal Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook meals in accordance with set menus and individual dietary requirements, including texture-modified and allergen-aware meals.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to HACCP and infection control standards.
- Meal Presentation: Ensure meals are well-presented and served at appropriate temperatures and portion sizes.
- Support to Chef: Assist the Chef with menu execution, stock rotation, and food storage as required.
- Coordination with FSAs: Work closely with FSAs to ensure efficient service and resident satisfaction.
Food Services Assistant (FSA)
- Meal Preparation Support: Assist with basic meal prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Chef.
- Meal Service: Serve meals to residents, ensuring dietary requirements are followed and that service is timely and respectful.
- Dining Room Setup: Prepare the dining area by cleaning tables and setting out cutlery, plates, and other necessary items before meals.
- Cleaning Duties: Responsible for dishwashing, cleaning utensils and kitchen equipment, and maintaining hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Resident Interaction: Engage with residents in a friendly and polite manner during meal service, responding to their needs and providing assistance as required.
