Aktrapid nurses provide a wide range of healthcare services for our aged care patients. Our skilled nurses implement the highest level of care and supervision for the needs of the elderly. Enrolled Nurses (ENs) conduct assessments and observations. Registered Nurses (RNs) lead the management and delivery of care.
As an Enrolled Nurse, your duties include administering medications, doing treatments, and communicating with the doctors. You will coordinate care for the patients.
You will care for the ill, injured, and persons with disabilities. Work will be under the supervision of a registered nurse. Apart from caring for the patients, it is very important to keep your patience. From planning to charting, you need to have good time management skills.
As a registered nurse, you are responsible for taking care of your patients. You are the primary nurse for the patient — the lead of the team. You make decisions as you assess patient health problems. You will also develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, administer care, and advise patients of their health status.
Due to the fragile health of the elderly, they are in need of special care.
A minor health issue can immediately become a serious issue for seniors. It is important to genuinely care as a healthcare provider, being non-judgmental as you will deal with patients who are affected by their aging process differently.
For Aktrapid’s Immunisation Service, a fully licenced nurse with immuniser certificates and extensive experience is required. As a nurse administering vaccines, you must be willing to do site visits for the clients.
It is also part of the role to educate the patients on the efficacy and safety of the vaccines, keeping yourself knowledgeable about the importance of the shot.
