Your role is most valuable for those in our care. PCW/PCA gives direct patient care - the backbone of a patient's daily living. Food and Domestic Services make sure that our seniors get the best nutrition for their health. Cleaners/Environmental Services serve as the key to a clean environment for their overall safety.
As a PCW/PCA, you will provide personal care for the patient’s personal needs. Your duties include regulating medications and monitoring vitals. Beyond that, you will also be there for the patient’s housekeeping and food requirements.
They may also need support in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and doing oral hygiene.They may also have required motion exercises wherein they need to be guided. Patients may have conditions that hinder their ability to care for themselves.
In this case, they need assistance from care professionals. As a PCW/PCA, you will be providing care while ensuring that the client’s independence and dignity are preserved.
This role will set up and serve food for the patients, assisting with the preparation and distribution of meals. In this service, your duties will include the processing of food preparation then serving or delivering meals to those in our care.
Responsibilities consist of reading recipes and food instructions, managing a variety of kitchen utensils, assisting in the preparation of hot/cold food, and properly storing food with the knowledge of spoilage. It is also important to keep records, taking note of allergies and foodborne illnesses.
As a valuable member of Aktrapid, this role performs routine and manual work in maintaining the cleanliness of the patient’s area. Knowledge in using cleaning tools and equipment is a requirement.
A healthcare environment would need to be kept disinfected and sanitized, improving overall safety and healing.
